Man arrested for trading dogs

PHIMAI: -- Police in Phimai district yesterday arrested a man with 36 dogs on charges of trading and removing animals across provinces without permission.

Jongjit Yongbanthom, a native of Sakon Nakhon, was caught with a modified pick-up truck loaded with 36 dogs. He confessed to have been travelling from Sakon Nakhon to barter buckets, bowls and baskets for dogs in various provinces. He added the dogs were to be sold to dog meat traders at Ban Tha Rae in Muang district of Sakon Nakhon. Police said the dogs would be sent to quarantine.

he could have rid the area here of a few choice cutlets...

Please come to Theparak road. there should be a few hundred dogs along this road. Hope they get rid of them.
