18mths ago I wanted a top box for a Yamaha scooter, they had none in stock, just a catalogue (in Phuket) and ordered for me, 2 days later I got a metal carrier/frame with the topbox , 1600 baht, been so handy for our travels.

That is a very good price if the box is decent quality. Do you know the name of the manufacturer? Most of the boxes in Pattaya sold by the dealers are Givi boxes, which are good, but start at about B2500.

You should check out the Givi website http://www.thaimotorbox.com/product.php . They have some boxes starting at B1680 and several more at B2100. There is a phone number to call and you may be able to pick one up for that price in Pattaya. They are located in Bangkok. For that price, I wouldn't fool around with a used one. Cheers,

I went to the usual shop we get accessories at in Pattaya & it is 2000 baht for a small one or 26-2800 baht for the bigger ones. The bags are 2000- 2800 baht. I know the boes are new for 5-6 months & then don't look so new is why I thought of a second hand source. The bags are usually dead when a second hand. Ours our dead & looking for better. For 1600 baht I would get new. Genghis do you know the name & number to the shop I could get one.
