Interpol Investigate Rosicky >> Dowd Match Fixing

The quality of refereeing this year in the EPL merits an investigation of some sort. I cannot recall being so outraged so many times - and I'm talking about decisions against teams I have no allegiance to more so than decisions against Arsenal. The EPL is going to be damaged if it continues like this.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, maybe just poor judgment but the referees have to get together and get some better consistency into some very basic areas - the offside rule, what constitutes a fair shoulder charge, accidental hand ball, tackles from behind/from three quarters behind etc etc.

Equally I'm not so naive that I totally discount the power of (mostly Asian) money.

It's a toughie cos i generally try to defend Refs, but the quality has been poor this Year..

It IS a very, very tough job made so much harder by regulary cheating Players of course..

I'd say more focus should be on that side of things as without that, the Refs at least would have more of a chance in making correct decisions..

It's all good & well criticising Refs all the time, but............................

I used to referee local and university league games in my younger days Singh (FA qualified) and I also usually side with refs.

I watch a fair few Serie A games on TV and I regret to say that I have far less issue with the Spanish refs than with the Brits these days.

In the EPL that young newbie is one of the best performers I've seen this year. I have no time for Webb and Clattenburg - they want to be as famous as the players.

Serie A Italian League. La Liga Spanish League.

Watch Barcelona every week especially to see the sublime Messi.Do not see enough of either to offer an opinion of referees.

There have been some shocking refereeing in the Premiership this season and indeed in the Champions League. In particular what bugs me is continual fouling in the area by defenders going unpunished, no retake of penalties where goalie is blatantly off the line, walls for free kicks not being the full distance back.

I agree about the young one, if it's the one who Ref Wolves V Mancs on Saturday ??

There is on ethat is beyond awful, Kevin Friend, fcukign dreadful..

One of the reaosn i don't mind Clattenburg is that he regualary holds his hands up & apologises when he makes a mistake, he does it on the Pitch to the Players & Managers & i think they earns respect, others wouldn't dream of doing that though..

& Webb IS a good Ref no matter what you think personally of him, the Guy reffed the WC Final, he's a good Ref

50 point deduction please. Guilty as charged in my view.

Interpol.....what a fcukin laugh.....chasing him across Hertfordshire are they?
