I have a 1 year non immigrant o visa. Its my first one. My problem is that i have used the 400,000 that i had in the bank and will not have it back in time to apply for my next one. I have heard that if i leave Thailand just before it runs out, that they automatically give you another one year stamp. Is this possible? Thanks.

Do you have a valid 1 year multiple non-O visa? This visa is valid for 1 year and during that year you can travel to Thailand as often as you want, but cannot stay longer than 90 days in a row. Than you have to leave the country but can come right back in. So by leaving and re-entering the country just before the expiry date you will get another 90 days.

OR are you on an extension of stay from immigration based on marriage? In this case you cannot leave the country and get another 1 year. But you can get a 60 day extension of stay and at the end of that apply for a new 1 year extension of stay. (for the 60 day extension no seasoning of money is required).

Then you do not get anything by leaving. As said you can obtain a 60 day to visit wife if that is enough time. If not you could visit KL to obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa if you can show 100k in an account somewhere. That would require exit every 90 days but cover up to almost 15 months time.
