Cites "Bird Certificate"

Featured Replies

I was hoping to find some help here in this thread.

After 10+ years I'm leaving Thailand and returning to the states. I want to take my 5 year old african grey parrot with me, a parrot I bought locally from a shop which is no longer there.

The CITES people tell me I need a "bird certificate" which I'm guessing is a paper only a breeder can provide. Does anything know where I can get one of these, or does anyone have one I can look at? When I do find someone who can provide one, I'd like to be sure it's the right form with the proper stamps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest u personal message to member goshawk; he is knowlegable in the avian areas as per his avatar.... since the links in my pinned topics seem to have changed .... however, go to the link for CITES and u will see what one is.

try also pm'ng to putu94 as he breeds parrots and i think would be knowlegeable also...

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for the delay, I had to go out of town for a few days.

The CITES certificate I'm familiar with, in fact I have one from CITES USA and CITES Thailand for the African Grey I brought with me. Its the Thailand certificate of origin I need to see if anyone has one.

Thank you for the other suggestions, I'll follow up on them.
