Short answer: no.

Short answer: no.

Im going to sneak in on this. Mario hopefully you can answer me too.

I too have a 1 year Multi B visa. My work permit is expired, usually I go to the USA each year and get a new visa with no questions, but this year I did not go. My office said i need to get my B visa re-newed before they can re-new, actually get me a new visa since my expired. So what do i need to do in Laos, show them a copy of my work permit and all the company papers. My office girl gave me a copy of our taxes paid, the shareholders list and company registration I asked her to for a copy of our BOI. So will I have any problems getting a multi B, my office is saying we cant apply for a new work permit until I get a new B visa.

thanks and sorry for hi-jacking the thread.

Your office is wrong as you can apply even on a tourist visa entry but you will need the B visa to have it issued. And often Consulates want to see that application receipt in order to approve a visa issue. Company paperwork will be required.
