Is there a place to go where you can see progress on the threads you've posted in?

If you look just above your post here, you see a button "watch topic". If you press that button you get alerts to new comments made in the topic you want to watch.

You can also look the topic up in the forum list and see how many responses there are and just keep count.

The button "view new content shows all new content that has been posted. You find it in the upper right side of the screen, under the search option.

Another good tip:

Go to "My Settings".

Click the "Notofication Options" link on the left.

Check the "Watch every topic I reply to" box and choose "Immediate Notification" from the drop down list.

Click "Save Changes" at the very bottom of the page.

After doing this, every thread that you post in you become subscribed to, so you get an email informing you of every subsequent reply.
