Visa Overstay

Featured Replies

of 1 day.

I am on a non-o and booked my visa run (to the phillipines) before i left and when i got my stamp, it turns out that i mis calculated and I should leave on or before 13th may - my flight is 14th may.... will i be ok to pay the 500b fine at the airport? will i have any problems getting another 3 month stamp in my non-o visa?

I had the same problem years ago. I went to my local immigration office and they gave me a 7 day extension and then I had no problems.

No fine but they may make a mark in your passport of the overstay. Will not effect next entry.

If it is just one day no need to pay the 1900 THb for a week extension, you can just pay the 500 baht at the airport when you go through immigration. No problems and people are doing it all the time. I have done it several times and it is just a formality.

As already mentioned by Lopburi there wll be no fine at the airport for a one day overstay.

And while it is not a problem to have overstayed at the moment, that doesn't been that it won't be some time in the future, However, probably not for a single one day overstay.
