On September 5th, Siberian tiger born at khao kaew open zoo

On September 5th at Khao Kaew Open Zoo, Khun Sopon Damnui the zoo's Director announced the birth of 3 baby Siberian Tigers. The Siberian Tiger is the largest of the species and is the brightest coloured of all tigers.

A male tiger named Dimitry and a female tiger named Kiera were imported from Canada on 24th May as part of a special exchange programme, with the hope that they may breed.

Nature has obviously taken its course, with the arrival of the baby tigers: 2 females and a male.

A tiger's normal gestation period is usually about 120 days, so Dimitry and Kiera must have got acquainted virtually straight away on their arrival from Canada.

Cool. At least there's some good news from time to time.

I love Tigers, bloomin class!

Just hope they take good care of them. Last time I was in Pattaya, was at the croc farm (i think) and they had a Tiger chained up, so as people could sit next to it and have there picture taken! :D The keepers give it a poke to do a bit of a roar for the "perfect picture".

I didn't have a photo taken on the principle of it. I know sorry a little bit :o
