Status Update on downtown nightlife: Almost everything closed, even Johns Place and No. 1.. Exception is Chiangmai Saloon, open at both locations and serving. Several lower Loi Kroh bars look like they will open after midnight. 2 hours to go.

Weird scene.. Farang girls, Thai bar girls, weird sexpats (that'd be me), ladyboys, all coming together sharing drink, food and merriment. Beautiful.

Wrap up: Success!! I love days like these. Due to there being far fewer places to go and a whole lot of different people going there, you meet new people, including those that you would normally not talk to, and those who would normally not visit certain bars at all.
