We just got a carryboy fitted yesterday and I'm now trying to find out if we can legally carry people in the truck bed.

I've tried searching on TV but nobody seems to know for sure. There are lots of "I think this..." and "it seems that...".

Does anybody know for certain or know where I can find out?

Here's the simple answer: When you add a canopy to a pickup in TH, you are required by law to take it to the Department of Land Transport to register the modification. When you do this, they will note the increased seating capacity in the blue book..

Note you'll also need to contact your insurance company and increase your premium to cover the additonal seats.
