Employee A Thai Or Foreigner For Management Job

Featured Replies

First of all I just want to note that for my business this issue about employing someone for management who can

work long hours

handle challenges

solve problems

manage a large group of employee's

be open and adaptable to change

be creative and have ideas if possible

make decisions

My experience with employing thai's for the management job has not been successful, even with training, coaching, patience and company policies. On that note I am aware that not everyone is fit for a role or job in management. Its not a easy job for sure. I'm just wondering if its time to re look and take a chance hiring a foreigner, I have no problem with getting them a work permit and business visa.

I look forward to everyone's comments and posting's on this matter, if you have similiar experiences in this areas I gladly like to hear them.

J highly recommend a foreigner for the job, may be a Chinese.

I also have found in my business that the Thai managers are not able to look long term and lack creativity and also ambitions. They live for short term and the short term benefit is always more important than long term goals.

I have to continually provide short term incentive to make the work hard
