peteyp40 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I would like to know if I can buy a flight ticket in Bangkok from an agent there to fly from Manchester to Bangkok return. pay by visa and get an electronic e.mail ticket sent to me in the uk?. Is it any cheeper doing this?. Will the check in desk at Manchester airport accept this e.mail ticket bought in Thailand?. thanks for your comments
Nordlys Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I don't know about the agents in UK but Japaense agents in Bangkok can issue such tickets for friends and relatives of Bangkok residents in Japan to fly from Japan - Bangkok - Japan. Cheaper than to issue the same ticket in Japan (to be paid and issued in Bangkok only though).

valentinoxxx Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 My answer was short, but not entirely accurate. In fact you can do it, but it won't be cheaper. It used to be an option, but the airlines caught on to cross border ticketing. Plus you'll have to pay in foreign currency, so you'll lose some more with that transaction. Try it for yourself, give Charlie a call; http://www.travelconnecxion.com/ http://www.travelconnecxion.com/index.cfm?menuid=284
