Three dead in bus accident in Pakistan's Punjab province

JHANG, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- Three people on late Tuesday were killed after two buses crashed on a road in Pakistan's Punjab province, Geo News television reported on Wednesday

Two passenger buses crashed in a head-on collision in Jhang city. In addition to the three fatal victims, at least 25 passengers were injured in the accident that took place on the Bhakkar Road near Kot Khera.

Rescue and relief teams were sent to the area but three individuals died at the scene due to the injuries sustained. The other wounded passengers, many in critical condition, were transported to a Jhang hospital.

The two buses departed from Jhang and collided near Kot Khera, when a bus tried to overtake the other. The Jhang Districts Headquarters Hospital informed that 30 individuals were admitted due to the accident.
