News_Editor
Libyan troops arrest three Dutch soldiers during rescue mission 2011-03-03 13:30:45 GMT+7 (ICT) SIRT, LIBYA (BNO NEWS) -- Libyan troops have detained three Dutch soldiers during a secret mission to evacuate civilians from Libya, Dutch officials said on Thursday morning. Defense spokesman Otte Beeksma said the soldiers were arrested on Sunday when a helicopter from the Royal Netherlands Navy frigate HNLMS Tromp attempted to evacuate civilians from an area near Sirt, a city between the capital Tripoli and Benghazi. "The helicopter was held on the ground by an armed Libyan unit," Beeksma said, adding that the soldiers were still being held captive. The arrests were not disclosed earlier due to security reasons. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-03-

Hawaiian
Big mistake. Probably just the excuse certain countries are looking for to justify foreign intervention. As the old saying goes, "If you are looking for an excuse you will find one."
