Ems From Pattaya To England. Please Help...

Featured Replies

Hi guys, kinda need some help here. A close friend of mine passed away last week while I was in England. I'll be going back to Pattaya next week to collect some of his belongings and send it back to his son in England via EMS. He entrusted me with some of his belongings when he was still kicking. I've searched the Thailand post website to find out how much it'd cost for me to send his belongings back to England but to no avail. My friend does not have alot of belongings maybe add up to lesser than 1KG.

Can anyone here tell me how much it'd cost for me to send his belongings back to England if the parcel is

>500g = ? Baht

<1KG = ? Baht

>1KG = ? Baht

How many days (estimate) does it takes to deliver the parcel back to England?

Thank you very much.... That's the last thing I can do for my good friend...

Sorry I can't help you, but your doing a good thing.

No worries mate. Let's hope someone here can provide me with the info. Cheers.

havent sent via EMS in a while but guessing you will be looking at around THB 3000 and will take 7-10 days for the person to receive it

EMS to overseas destinations is basically a courier service like FedEx, UPs, and DHL. Go into any decent-sized Post Office and ask for the rates (I don't suppose they will vary much between Bangkok and Pattaya. I'm guessing you're in Bangkok; you don't say). I guess the other courier services will charge much the same rates.

It shouldn't take more than two or three days.

EMS is less than half the price of the other companies and is usually delivered within three to seven days plus you can track and trace your parcel online, the price will depend on the actual weight so impossible to give a "guestimate"

I'm currently in England and I'm unable to check the rates on the Thai website. I'd guess his belongings (very important) would weigh less than 1kg. How much would it cost to send from Thailand to England and how many days it'd take?

Thank you so much.

I tried to send an A4 envelope containing about 6 pages of documents to England by EMS and they wanted around 1,000 Baht. It wasn't very heavy, so if you are sending personal effects of a kilo or more my guess is that it will cost several thousand Baht, depending on weight. It is a courier service, not a post service.

Any post office or post counter in the dept stores will tell you. Have someone take it in and enquire - that way you will know for sure.

I sent an a4 envelope with an 4 sheets of A4 as the contents via EMS from Thailand to Hong-Kong. The Post office charged me 400 bht and it weighed next to nothing . I went a few weeks later to a different post office with another envelope exacly the same and the price to send was also 400bht .

Sending to England will be expensive I think.

1340 Baht if you trouble to click on my link.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Last time I sent a gross (144) of shotglasses overseas it cost me 4000 baht. When trying to estimate the cost don't forget the cost of packing materials (the box itself and padding for breakables).
