Schnegen Visa....When/Where Is It Required?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, my thai fiancee is here in the UK with me now. We are marrying in UK in May this year. After that she apply for her 2 year FLR. My question is ,once she has the FLR ,can she go to France and Italy with me on holiday?

If so will she require a 'schnegen' visa, and if so does one schnegen visa cover more than one EU country or does she require individual ones for every country travelled through?. We would probably drive, so may include Switzerland on our journey aswell.

Many thanks in advance.......Roland & Kaew

As she is a UK resident she can apply for a Schengen visa in the UK. It will be valid for all the Schengen states, and she should apply to the embassy of your main destination or if touring the country you will enter first. As she will be the spouse of an EU citizen most of the requirements will not apply to her and it will be free.

See Schengen Area.
