DocHolliday2006 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Two odd requests, but I need to track down the following in Chiang Mai, if possible. 1) A food scale that can accurately read between an ounce and 20 pounds (or the metric equivalent. 2) A bioelectrical impedance scale (sometimes called tanita scales) that can give readings for body fat, water, muscle, etc. Anyone know where I can find them? Thanks.
canuckamuck Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Some of the digital weigh scales now have an impedance scale built in. I bought one at Carefour that has it. If you use one you should know the amount you are hydrated will adjust the readings by several percent. A good plan is to drink a lot of water and then use the scale 20 minutes later. That way you will have more consistency. or you might try it first thing in the morning. I have seen the digital kitchen scales around, but I can't remember where, sorry.
Asmerom Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 From Thappae Gate walk North from the Ratchadamnern Road corner, up Moon Muang, past the MONTRI HOTEL and a few dozen metres along is a kitchen scale shop.

Agreed. Bet he can find the impotence scale in that area too. Convenient. But if that fails then the big hypermarkets will likely have something.
DocHolliday2006 Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 Thanks. I'll check there tomorrow. From Thappae Gate walk North from the Ratchadamnern Road corner, up Moon Muang, past the MONTRI HOTEL and a few dozen metres along is a kitchen scale shop.
