I am in Chiang Mai, I am thinking about getting a Tourist Visa (double or triple (multiple entry)) to avoid having to go/exit every month with the entry visa.

Here are my options, from what I see. Can you help me with this?

OPTION 1: (VIENTIENNE, LAOS)

If I were to go to Vientienne, what is the best way to get there from Chiang Mai? By Bus? or Fly?

Should I expect to stay in vientienne 2 nights to get the paperwork done?

OPTION2: (Phnom Peng, CAMBODIA)

Taking the bus to Phnom Peng is out of the question. Too far!

If I were to fly to Phnom Peng (cambodia), what airlines are the cheapest? I usually fly air-asia, but they usually get you on the seating costs, as well as the

luggage costs (additional). Any other cheaper airlines????

It is a long bus ride and many reports of not being pleasant but many people do it. One night required in Vientiane if you arrive in morning to turn in passport first day.
