March 18, 201115 yr I have a cell phone and fitted with a True Inter sim. When I hook it up to my PC via a USB cable the system finds a modem and installs it. Now what? When I go to setup a phone/modem connection the system asks for an area code and wont accept blank (the True dial up is *99# I think) Any help would be appreciated.

March 19, 201115 yr Author Hi kenny What model is your phone? On Win 7 and XP user name and password are blank and its dials *99# How are you trying to set up the connection and what is your OS? My phone is a "MyPhone Q21". Not sold here in Thailand I don't think but popular in the rest od SEA. It's a dual sim. When I connect it to my PC via the USB cable, Windows XP sp3 finds it and installs it as a modem, no problem. The sim I'm wanting to use is a True Inter. Kenny
March 20, 201115 yr I am pretty sure you need to establish a data account with Truemove before successfully accessing their network. You can do this either by calling *9000 or by sending the appropriate code to 9789. http://www.truemove.com/en/data-package-timebase.htm I am not certain you can add data packages to the InterSIM, the terms and conditions are not quite clear, but you may be able to. I found this re: GSM dial-up http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/Tether_with_Windows_XP

Kenny Forget about using the TRUE SIM for Data. It's limited to half the speed of the other networks. Use HAPPY in the first instance or One2Call as a second choice. Use TRUE on where 3G in available. In your case, your phone is simply not capable.
