March 20, 201115 yr Do you have to have 800,000 Baht in a Thai Bank if you are getting 720,000 Baht a year from your retirement and having 100,000 in a Thai Bank Account. I currently have a marriage visa but if my wife dies I need to know about the retirement visa requirements. Thanks a lot

No not correct, As mentioned by others the bank account ( in your sole name ) money has to be in the account for 60 days for the first extension and 90 days for other extensions. But it can be combined.

But it can be combined. No, you're wrong. If using the combo method, the part in the Thai bank account does NOT need to be seasoned at all. If using the 800K bank account method only, it DOES need to be seasoned, yes, two months the first time, three months for later extensions. It's possible some people have encountered an outlier officer who enforces seasoning on people using the combo method, but the national rule without question is NO SEASONING in such cases.
