Featured Replies

Hi members out there

If i go BKK as a tourist, how do I extend my visa after 30 days? The maxiumun of extention is how long? How much does it cost and how many time can I extend without going out of Thailand? Please provide the information above if you know.. Many many thanks.

Cheers,

Winson

If you received a 60 day entry (tourist visa) you can extend one time for 30 days using a TM.7 and paying 1,900 baht at immigration (4x6cm photo required).

You can only do this.one time. You could extend the thirty day for 7 more days for another 1900 baht and proof onward travel.

You talk about extending after 30 days, so I suspect you will arrive without a visa and get a visa exempt entry at the airport. Be advised that many ailines require you to show a ticket out of the country within 30 days or will deny you boarding!

Best is to get a tourist visa from a Thai consulate. They are free till March 31 and you don't need to show a ticket out of the coutnry if you have a visa. It allows you to stay for 60 days and you cna extend it at immigration for another 30 days for 1,900 baht. Than you have to leave the country and can get another tourist visa in a neighbouring country.
