Quick question:

Awaiting new passport to come back from Hong Kong. Just wanted to check on its progress. Does anyone have a number please that doesn't involve paying for the call by credit card (of which i don't have) and also on top of that paying for the international call!! outrageous as below!!

All passport enquiries are handled by Careline Services Limited through their Passport Information Helpline. Careline telephone lines are open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, from 08:30 Monday through to 16:30 Friday (Hong Kong time). If you are not in Hong Kong you will need to take into account any time difference when calling.

Calls are charged at GBP 0.69 per minute (+VAT) for the duration of the call. (Telephone service providers will also charge for the cost of the international call so applicants may like to check their provider's tariff). Please ensure that you have your credit card details ready before calling.

get yourself a TRUE Move international SIM card top it up and call international dialing 00600 and 44 etc.....for one THB per minute.

Thanks, its not really the phone bill that is an issue as i have a contract work mobile. Its the fact tat I have to PAY by credit card to speak to some agent/adviser- just wandered if there was an alternative number- ie. here you dont call tot helpline- you call the manager direct etc etc

if anyone knows a number that would be great.
