i have to take my uk reg car from thailand into cambodia or laos----------the docs are in my name and i have a long thai visa. any heip / experiences greatly appreciated please

What paperwork are you using for the vehicle in Thailand? Are you still on the UK plates or do you have Thai plates (meaning it will behave like a Thai vehicle)?

i coudnt find motoring but yes travel may well be better

its on a temp import stamp and yes uk plates

Hmmm, it's a very special situation, I'm not aware of anyone else having a UK plated vehicle in Thailand (I've seen a few with UK + Thai plates mind).

I suggest the first port of call should be the embassy(ies) of the country(ies) you intend visiting. There could also be issues when you want to return to Thailand, will Thai customs let you back in?
