Anyone know the cheapest place i can get a retirement visa if i do not have the 800,000 baht in my account. I have heard there is firms out there who will put the money in the bank for you so your bank statement shows you have that money in it.

I renewed my retirement visa the other day and this is what they wanted. 1) Affadvit of income from embassy 2) Application for visa extension w photo and copies of passport pages. That was it, took 10 minutes (after waiting an hour to be called). I had lots of other materials in support of income and bank records etc, but they didn't want them. That was in Chiang Mai. I would not expect everyone would be so fortunate everywhere. They seem to be a bit arbitrary in their conditions. Good Luck.

additionally, I have no doubt that had I not had so much documentation they probably would have requested it.
