Want To Rent A Car With Songkran But All Fully Booked

Featured Replies

For myself I no need a car but my Lao gf will be here with songkran and we both dislike the water thing, so I'd like to make few nice car trips etc.

They all seem fully booked, any suggestions ?

Thanks !

ps, not want a car with a driver.

Well, here thebig ones:

Avis at the airport

Budget opposite airport Plaza

Hertz at the Chiang Inn

National at the Amari Rincome

There are a large number of local renters, some have better reputations than others, you will find some of them here:

http://www.chiangmai-chiangrai.com/2_travel_car_rental_chiangmai.php a few more here

http://www.chiangmai-online.com/vehrent.html

One of them will have a spare motor I am sure but as to the condition and as to whether it comes with a driver................................

Songran is one of times I would rather not drive....way to many drunk drivers.

Thanks, the big ones all require a credit card which I don't have.

The guy from Nong (moat near beginning of Loikro) where I rented hundreds of times, before and after I had my own car in Thai, he's fully booked as well, at least that what he says. Maybe he prefers to rent to tourists who don't know the rates.

I forgot one of the bigger local ones, take a look here

They have a shop in Airport Plaza as well

cmcarrent.com.

Small company ,not many people know about them

Worth a try, situated near the Holiday Inn

Might be they just don't really want to rent during that period, as to keep their fleet intact.

If you want to stay dry keep the doors locked.

Glad to hear you have found what you were looking for.

Just a word of advice, please do check the car carefully before you sign for it in case there is any pre-existing damage their fleet appears to be made of of shall we say "not so new cars". Also check the insurance situation is up to spec.

Have a nice dry Songkran

Hired a vios 2 weeks ago through appodo 800 a day car was delivered to hotel and was from Avis.
