Egg Laying Chickens

Can anyone tell me what breed the white chickens (used for egg laying) are? (In Thailand)

Forgot to mention the females are brown color, males are white. I've been searching but can't find that much info.

Rhode Island Reds and leghorns for egg production and cobb for meat, AFAK.

DOESN'T ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET EGG'S LAYING CHICKENS,AT LEAST, MAYBE, IN BANGKOK?

i know this is an old post but we get ours up the road in Nang Rong, when we get them they are already about 6 months old. the problem is i cannot get the guy to tell my wife where i can get a boom boom rooster same same so i can raise my own,, i know why he won't sell,,where would his buisness go after that,

we get about 40-45 eggs in the morning from 50 laying hens, not much money in it but the fresh brown eggs,, some double yoke sure are nice.

I purchased 20 Rhode Island Red laying hens, that started laying within two weeks,at 130 baht each, was a little steep but I would put more that that amount for feeding them 4-5 months from chicks, they give me about 16 fresh eggs a day. Keeps the family in eating eggs and quite a few to sell, the eggs pay for their feed.

I had also purchased 12 Rhode Island white Roosters at the village market at 13 baht each, raised them to eating age,all my Thai neighbors wanted to buy them for eating. I did not sell as I could not recoup the money for them I paid for feed, They all ended up in my freezer, we know it is good meat raised well.

Never heard of Rhode Island White Roasters, They were also red back home.
