March 30, 201115 yr Does anyone know what I need to do it, I have to do it by the end of net week. I am married to a Thai so I need to get a letter from my bank that I have 400K in the bank for 3 months. Is that it? I forgot when I did last year
March 30, 201115 yr The letter is of account balance when you visit Immigration. You need to have had that amount in bank for 2 months so letter can say that and/or bank passport can prove it. Understand Bangkok also wants an ATM slip on day of application (most banks have a branch on ground floor).
March 30, 201115 yr Author Oh yes. So all I need is. - Passport photos - Letter from my bank of the balance and had it in the bank for 2 months - Account balance slip from the ATM showing I still have the money - 1900 baht fee approx - passport (obviously) - The wife Thats it yeah.
March 30, 201115 yr Her ID, Her Home Register, Photos may be asked in/outside home, Map may be asked, copies of everything including passport data page, visa and extensions along with departure card, 4x6cm new photo for TM.7 form.
April 1, 201115 yr Author OK, I pick up my bank letter today. DO I also need my wife to come with me to the immigration office? Also her copies of ID etc, does that have to be signed by her? I will also take the originals.
April 1, 201115 yr Yes, she needs to come. She will be inerviewed that to see if the marriage is real.
April 1, 201115 yr Author ok, Hopefully I got this down right. I have already extended my imm o visa before last year and provided photos, do I still need them? I will being the following to the immigration office. - Marriage certificate, both Australian certificate and Thai (copies and originals) - Letter from bank having 400K for more than 3 months (original) - bankbook statement (Original and copy) - Account balance slip on the day I go to immigration - My passport (original and copy) - Wife's passport (original and copy) - daughters passport Thai and Australian (original and copy) - daughters birth certificate (original and copy) - house registration (original and copy) - Wife ID card (original and copy) - My That Drivers license (oiriginal and copy) Thats got to be it right?
April 1, 201115 yr You forgot the wife (again) - don't leave home without her. You need a new 4x6cm photo for application (more if also want re-entry permit). I would have some photos in/around house in case asked. You can only have one marriage certificate. You do need the KR2 (ledger entry for District Office that your Oz marriage is recorded so suspect that is your meaning).
April 1, 201115 yr Author Yeah I got my pics, although they are 3 and a half by 4cm. I go them done down there last time. Yes the wife will be coming, also the kid. I will just bring everything. More is better than less. Surely they dont need any more proof than what I will bring down.
April 1, 201115 yr Requirement for ID photos is that they were taken within six months. They can be strict on that. Size is often overlooked.
April 1, 201115 yr Author Thanks all, it was great, fast service and the Immigration officer was really nice. I took all the above and had no problems at all.
