April 7, 201115 yr Dep PM Denies House Dissolution after Songkran A deputy premier insists the House's delayed deliberation of election bills will not further delay the upcoming general election. Deputy Prime Minister in charge of national security Suthep Thaugsuban said the delay of the House's deliberation on the three organic election bills will not affect the government's political calendar. Suthep also dismissed the suggestion by Chat Thai Pattana's leader Chumpol Silpa-archa that the House will be dissolved on April 19. He said any speculation on Thailand's political future is inappropriate since it could confuse or panic the public. The deputy premier went on to say his book “Don't Let Thailand Be Set Ablaze Again" aims to provide another side of the story about the arson attacks in Bangkok last year. The anti-government red-shirt group alleged that the government and security agencies themselves were behind the arson spree in Bangkok. Suthep denied he has been informed about the inclusion of last year's riots in Bangkok in school textbooks. He reassured that the government will not exploit the situation to gain leverage in the general election. He also commented on the red-shirt group's upcoming rally. The group plans to stage a rally on April 10 to mark the first anniversary of the dispersal of its protests on Rajdamnoen Avenue last year. Suthep believes the gathering will be a peaceful one. He urged Pheu Thai and its de facto leader Thaksin Shinawatra to prevent their supporters from causing any unrest. -- Tan Network 2011-04-07

And I really believed Mr Thaksin Shinawatra when he said he's not getting involved with politics again and that he is not in charge of the Red Shirts or Pheu Thai. Wow am I gullible
