BAGHDAD, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) -- Two separate bomb attacks on Monday killed seven people while dozens more were injured in central Iraq, Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported.

In southern Baghdad, an improvised explosive device (IED) killed three people and injured at least 11 more. The explosion took place in the capital's Jisr-Diala district an also caused damage to a vehicle.

In Anbar province, a twin explosion killed at least four people and left about 25 more wounded. The blasts were caused by a car bomb and an explosive device left near the al-Shuhadaa cemetery in Falluja.

The Anbar Operations Command imposed a curfew in the al-Andalus and parts of al-Jomhouriya neighborhoods. The attack took place new a popular market. The car bomb exploded after the other IED and killed two anti-explosives officers who were attempting to defuse it.

Bomb attacks continue in Iraq, mainly targeting security forces but most of them resulting in civilian deaths. On Tuesday, a suicide bombing left at least three mortal victims and several injured in Mosul. A unidentified militant, wearing a belt packed with explosives, detonated himself.

On Monday night, an Iraqi soldier was killed and two others injured when an IED exploded in southern Kirkuk. The attack targeted an Iraqi Army patrol that was near Al-Rashad town.

Two police officers were killed and ten more injured in two bomb explosions in Ramadi, central Iraq last Sunday. In addition, six law agents and four civilians were injured. The target of the explosions was a police patrol.
