pete66
Will I have any luck buying a long-haul ticket (to UK) at the airport? Which operators sell tickets, and if they do, would they be really expensive compared with buying from anywhere outside? In other words, are last-minute deals (if available) competitively priced? chiang mai
Expect to pay the highest possible rate when you simply show up and want to fly there and then, at a minimum, get to a travel agent and see what deals are on offer.
pete66
Thanks. Just that I need to get back to UK quickly (my Mum is ill) and don't know if anything is open today.
pete66
If I buy online tonight, is there anywhere that does Cash On Delivery to pick up the ticket, as I only have cash, not credit card that works online here? Alternatively, which travel agents are open at night during Songkran?

I've sent you a PM with one possible solution but now realize that you're in a cash only position, that makes things not any easier since airlines tend to be suspicious of cash only customers. I know it's tough but your best plan might just be to wait until the start of business in the AM and get in front of an agent, good luck.
