Inebriated Russian parks in the middle of Pattaya Highway

PATTAYA: Mr Radislav Obernikhin, a 41-year-old Russian national, was woken from his slumbers on the back seat of his pickup just after 3:30 on Thursday morning by police volunteers. The reason for the interest of the patrolling volunteers was that the pickup was parked in the middle of Highway 7 and was potentially a traffic hazard. Mr Obernikhin, who was practically naked, told the volunteers he had spent the evening drinking with friends and admitted to being somewhat intoxicated.

The volunteers decided to not bring him to the police station, but instead drove Mr Obernikhin back to his home where he could sleep in a real bed and not pose a danger to other road users.

Maybe if he had woken up in a jail cell and had to pay a couple of thousand Baht to get out he might not do it again and endanger MY LIFE

This moron has admitted he was drunk, drove his car, stripped off and got into the back seat. Why then was he not charged by the police, then reported to Immigration and deported, then Black listed.

I see where a woman was killed by a Thai driving through a red light.

I also read that the Police were cracking down on drunk drivers/riders at a rail crossing. What has happened in a couple of days.
