If anyone can help Im sure you guys can.

I have a tourist visa and was given 60 days on entry to Thailand, that runs out on the 10-05-2011. As i understand it, i can go to the local immergration, if theres one in Khon Kean?? and get 30 days extension or go to Loe's.

If i go to Loe, do i then need to stay over night or do i just go through the boader???. Do i then get another 60 days??

I know in some cases you need to stay over night, but i dont know why??

Khon Kaen Immigration will give you a 30 day extension.

1,900 Baht and a passport size photo needed.

Immigration Office is in the police training school on the road to Udon.

On the right just before SR furniture/electrical warehouse.

Enter Laos and return you will get 15 days.

If i stay in Loe do i get a longer visa?

You have the choice of getting a 30 day extension of this or any stay or leaving and returning until the 3 entries are used up for 60 days each time. You do not have to remain overnight and can immediately return from outside Thailand (although some crossings may try to charge a fee for same day service). But once the visa expires no more entries can be made using it even if all three have not been used.

Just to check if i have this right: I can go to the local immergration office and get a 30 day extension 1900bht and or go over the border (no need to stay over night) but they would give me a 60 day visa?.

Why would you need to stay over night, just so i know?

I said you did not need to stay overnight. If you are asking about other people it is to acquire a tourist visa from the Royal Thai Consulate which is submit one day and pick up next day. As you have a tourist visa already it does not apply to you.

Thank for that. I will still need a Loe visa, any idea of the cost?.

Laos visa varies by nationality but believe most in the US $30-35 range.
