Do Vfs Know If Visa Was Granted

hi there i new to this forum and looking if anyone can help or advise me my tg apply for a uk tourist visa about 10 days ago she been tracking it online and had sms sent to her she got a sms sent to her today she said it says she got the visa and waiting for her to pick up in the vfs office in bangkok but i sure i read that the vfs do not know the outcome of a application is this true i hate for her to be dissapointed if she has been refused any help on this topic would be very helpful best regards mick

The result of an application is confidential between the applicant and the entry clearance office at the embassy. Passports etc. are returned to the VAC in sealed envelopes for collection by or forwarding to the applicant or their appointed representative.

So, in short; no, VFS do not know the result.

just one more quick question if anyone can help can you get the results of your visa application direct from the uk embassy in thailand by phone or email or do you just have to wait until you get the envelope in hand thanks any help would be great

No, nobody at the embassy will be able to give her the result of her application, like VFS the Visa Section are closed for the Easter Holiday.

Even if they were open they wouldn't give the decision out over the phone, so I'm afraid it's fingers crossed until Tuesday.

VFS are just an agent to collect the various papers and forward them onto the Embassy.

All you get is a TeX message , Your visa is processed you may collect. You do not know what the outcome is untill the letter has been opened, good luck .
