Burma Visa Stamp Open On Sunday

Featured Replies

My visa expires tomorrow, stupidly I didnt realise that the immigration closed on Sunday in Chiang Mai. Now I am thinking I should go to burma tomorrow and get my 2nd entry for 60days now rather than in 30days if I could have extended. Are the borders open tomorrow between thailand and burma and can I get my second extension on a Sunday there?

Thanks dudes

Just goto immigration on Monday. They don't count weekend(closed days) as overstay.

And Yes, the Mae Sai border crossing is open everyday.

The Mae Sai BORDER CROSSING is open but the IMMIGRATION OFFICE, where you get new or renewed visas, is closed Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Seems to be exactly what I said.... What are you attempting to correct?

As CMSteve said, Normally when your permission to stay ends on a holiday, you will not be fined for overstay if you apply for an extension the first day they are open again. Just go Monday morning to immigration in CM.
