Hello,I am in the process of trying to obtain tourist visa for gf,i understand that this can be refuesd and you cannot appeal,so question,can you apply again and how long do you have to wait?to re,apply,,manys thanks Foomanchu.

If you don't say which country you are applying to, then it's difficult to advise you!

If applying to visit the UK, then you can apply again immediately if refused, but unless you adequately deal with the reasons for the original refusal then you will only be refused again.
