she is here on a spouse visa came into uk 05/08/09

she is going home within the next 4 weeks

What do you mean? You're in the UK, and she's a Thai citizen. Buy her a plane ticket, and tell her good riddance.

Assuming she has a Thai passport, she doesn't need a VISA to return to her home country.
