jimky Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Will keep this brief. The example: Private Thai limited company involved in two separate business activities. 1. Website Design and Content Services (VAT Registration Required). (175,000 Baht in months sales) 2. Running own websites as an affiliate marketer (300,000 + in affiliate commissions per month). The question relates to the second business activity. As the result of marketing these companies on the websites owned, commission checks are received. These are based on pay per click, cost per acquisition, or percentage of monthly earning. So say in Thai Baht equivalent checks come in for the month such as: Google Adsense: 60,000 baht Agoda Affiliate Program: 30,000 baht Commission Junction: 50,000 baht Is VAT owed on these? Obviously there is not chance to charge these companies VAT, they are affiliate programs anyone in world can sign ups with.. Also are there any other taxes owed on these other than Corporate Income Tax? Can someone give me just a basic idea of how these transactions are handled/accounted for when paid to a Thai Ltd. Thanks in advanced for any response.
