In June this year I will be passing through Thailand with the wife, she has never been to Hau Hin so I would like to take her their for 4 nights as a treat

Looked in the internet and seems they are all still claim they want High season prices

would like to know of any resorts or hotels that are offering genuine price reductions at this time

Depends what you want, do you require, beach front, pool, view, close to shops, quite, near nightlife????????..........you have to remember Hua Hin and Cha am are busy every weekend all year round with people away for the weekend from BKK, so seasonal discounts dont abound the same as Phuket and Samui..also of course depends hpow much you wanna pay....latestays as suggested is always good

I went to Hua Hin last Christmas and stayed at the Grand Pacific Sovereign Resort. We booked through latestays.com (highly recommend their site) and I think the room was around 2,000 per night or a little over. On arrival I was a little dubious because the common areas of the hotel all looked a bit tired but I was very pleasantly surprised when we got to the room. It was really, really nice - large room with balcony, a kind of alcove area with cushions next to a bay window with fantastic views over the sea (we booked a garden view room and were upgraded to sea view room), a large bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath tub, tea and coffee making facilities, a nice pool (I think there was more than one pool) with poolside bar, etc. etc. All in all I would highly recommend it. It's also right on the beach.

The hotel's located between Cha Am and Hua Hin (probably closer to Cha Am). We had our own transport so getting around was not a problem - they had a tuk=tuk shuttle bus service operating but I don't know where it went or how frequently. If sampling the delights of Hua Hin's nightlife every night is what you're looking for I would suggest you look elsewhere, but if you want a really nice room at a reasonable rate in a beachfront location then this would be my recommendation. The staff were really friendly and helpful too.

The only negative comment I would add is that the in-house restaurants are not too good, but a short walk down the beach and you'll find some nice outdoor seafood places.

Grand Pacific is a very nice hotel, but it is Cha-am, and not Hua hin, the location is not perfect, but with the tuk tuk service, and just a bycicle you can go anywhere in Cha-am, and mabey you would like Cha-am much more then Hua Hin !!!!

We have stayed at Grand Pacific quite a number of times, in fact were one of the first guests to stay there when it opened just a few years ago. Eating in we only ever use their main restaurant and the food is fine. Book using asiareservations.net I don't think that you will beat his price there..his price is 'all in'.

We like staying at Baan Bayan in Hua Hin. Not right in the middle of town but right on the beach and town is 100 baht in tuk tuk or 15 minute walk. Great for getting over jet lag - lovely serene atmosphere. Breakfast, staff, rooms, food from restaurant - all excellent. Can book on booking, com and their rates are slightly lower now than in the high season.
