The market is only active in condos and hi-end villas at the moment. Would think that shophouse demand (or are they called "home offices" these days?) is pretty dire considering the number of empty ones around.

Only recommendation I'd give is that you pick an agent in Patong. Anyone looking for a shophouse in Patong won't trawl around agents in other parts of the island too hard.
