Hi all,

I am currently in Thailand and going to apply for my wife's first British passport which apparently is submitted in the British embassy in Bangkok and then sent to Hong Kong. What I don't understand is that in the UK people that apply for their first passport have to go for an initial interview, however, after looking at the passport service in Hong Kong they don't. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Also, has anyone used this service before?

you have the interview in BKK when or shortly after you submit the application.
