I'd like to ship some things to the USA -- I can't possibly get it all into my airline luggage. Nothing fragile, perishable, dangerous, illegal, and nothing time-sensitive. Like to do it as cheaply as possible. If it takes a month or more to get to LAX, that's OK. Does anybody have any tips for me? Thanks in advance.

Depending on your airline, class of service, status you may well be able to transport your items, even packed in a box or two, as checked baggage. You might even compare any airline excess baggage fees with Thai Post (stop in a post office or check their web-site) rates.

That will help, but I have a lot to ship. I'm thinking of two or three heavy wooden crates. Does anyone have experience doing this?

E-mail these people in LA and ask whom they would recommend in Thailand. Most of the time sea freight has a minimum of 2 cubic meters. No real limit on the weight. My guess is that you might end up around $500, but that is a wild guess.
