Non Immigrant O Visa

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I am off to get another year's extension on my Non Immigrant 'O' visa at CW next week and just want to know if there have been any changes to the paperwork needed or any changes in the law compared to last year. I have had B400k in the bank for the last 4 months.

The only new thing I have added (as well as the kitchen sink!!) is an updated copy of my Kor Ror 2 wich we got from the amphur a few weeks back.

Have there been any changes in the paperwork needed from last year or new laws implemented ?

Thanks to all.

Regards

JD

You are applying for a 12 month extension of stay based on being married to a Thai lady.

The only difference I can see is money in the bank for at least 2 months has now been made official after a bit of confusion.

Yes you will probably need the Kor Ror 2.

Thanks LB.

So it's official now that you need to deposit the B400k in the bank only 2 months (not 3) prior to application for your subsequent extensions based on marriage?

I have never required an updated KR2 form, and got my 2nd Extension in December. I use the Nonthaburi office, but remember all documents are sent to Chaengwattana for final approval.

Hi Beano

I have seen this KR2 updated copy floating around more and more the past few months on TV and thought I'd take no chances as it's a lotta hassle and a long way back to the amphur just for 1 piece of paper!!
