Multi Non-Imm B Penang?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Can anyone please advise, can I apply for a multi entry non-imm B visa in Penang.

I am currently on a Tourist Visa and have a copy of the contract for employment for 1 yr along with a letter of recommendation from the company ( this letter recommends a 90day non-imm B but does not state single or multi)

Can I only get a multi non b once I get my work permit? I know I will be able to apply for an extention of stay up to 1 yr once this is issued but I would prefer to have a multi entry non-B incase I leave this job before this contract ends and therefore will be able to return on another 90 day visa.

Any advice would be great.

Many thanks

Do not believe any Consulate in the area will issue a multi entry with such documents and extension of stay requires more than a work permit as it sets standards for both company and pay that must be met.

A multiple non-B will be out of the question, you might get a single but would not count on it. Normally you apply first for a work permit, labour will give you a WP3 form, which indicates to the consulate that you have applied for a work permit. Once yu have the visa and return, labour will give you the actual WP.

Where is it better to go now if I don't have WP3 form. Kuala Lumpur?

With only company appers, it would be Australia.

Unless you are a teacher, you probably won't get a non-B without a WP in neighbouring countries. If you want to try, contact some visa run companies first to see if they can help you.

Go to the Labour Office just take the documents required and get a WP 3, not difficult, without this your chances of getting a Non Immigrant B are next to zero. Unless, as stated, you are a teacher at a Government school.

Thai Embassy Singapore do not ask for WP3 (or didn't up to Feb this year) - worth checking out if no time to apply for WP3. They did issue single entry Non-B with company papers, sponsor letter, etc.
