May 20, 201115 yr If i cancel my visa and work permit does it affects the person's visa (NOn-O visa) depending on me? The Immigration asked me for 1,900 baht fees for the cancellation and another 1,900 baht for my wife's Non-O visa cancellation. Now, I'm planning to cancel my own visa alone for this time, not including my wife because of some financial reasons, Is this okay? is this possible? Can my wife still report at the immigration for 90 days after my visa is cancelled?
May 20, 201115 yr There is no fee to cancel a stay. You can not cancel a visa as that is only used for entry. So it appears you were on one year extension of stay for employment and wife was on a one year stay as dependent of you and also dependent on your extension of stay. At end of employment it must be canceled and you can then obtain a 7 day extension of stay to give time to pack out and that is where 1,900 baht would come into play (TM.7 fee for each). Now it appears you are asking if you quite your job/cancel extension of stay what happens to wife? If here as your dependent it will also end and she must cancel or will be in overstay status.
