It is from 2002, but they also have some info on the 2005 report. I think you have to buy it to get the complete listing...but looks like 2002 is free!

I am glad Bangkok did so well! Paraguay and Bangalore, India, are just not at the top of my places to live.

This means absolutely nothing in my experience. Bangkok above Melbourne for example.

I believe that cost-of-living surveys like this tend to be focused on the costs for those who are abroad on multi-national corporation expat packages.

I saw another where Shanghai rated as 25% more expensive than New York City. Must be difficult for the locals.
