News_Editor Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 At least 16 killed in northern Pakistan bomb blast 2011-05-26 21:36:58 GMT+7 (ICT) HANGU, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- At least 16 people were killed after a powerful bomb blast rocked a District Police Officer (DPO) station in northern Pakistan, officials said Thursday. According to reports, the blast came from an explosive-filled vehicle that targeted the DPO office in Hangu, in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where several buildings were also damaged due to the explosion, Pakistan's Express Tribune reported. Several people where in the area during the blast as sensitive installations, district courts, and a local market are all part of the same area. In addition to the fatal victims, 36 others were injured, while bodies and those injured were transported to local hospitals, where emergencies have been declared. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-05-26
