Hi , have a few questions hope someone can guide me through this , im appying for marriage visa for wife, q1.EMPLOYMENT im self employed groundworker and therefore do not stay wirh one employer for long how do i proove that i am in long term work? q2 all my payslips are from different employers, q3 i dont get utility bills as i pay all my gas water electric on a payg basis so no bills at end of month, q4 and what do they mean buy draw a map of my home ? i have many photos iv have taken of inside of house. q5 i dont own my home i rent is this a problem, q6 i dont get mobile phone bills as i use international PAYG sim card, Any help please ...Thank You ...Richie.

Q1 & 2. Explain your employment, and include what payslips you have. Are you self employed? If so, include yuor last SA statement.

Q3. You don't need utility bills, although they can be used as evidence of where you live they are not a requirement See Q.5 below.

Q4. Draw a map of your home? I've not seen that before, where does it ask for this? I guess they mean a plan to show the rooms available, but see Q.5 below.

Q.5 Renting is not a problem, but you should get a letter from your landlord granting permission for her to live there and confirming that there is room for her. This should be all the evidence of accommodation that you need.

Q.6. Many people use low cost numbers and PAYG cards these days; the embassy are used to it. Explain this in your covering letter and highlight the access number on your phone bills.

Have just read this post,,i,m elf employed too,i have yearly self assesment statements and have bank statements going back 6 months,showing cash,,,taxable,, as well as payment from contractors,,,,,,is the cash part of it ok?as i still pay tax?

The ECO is looking to see that you have sufficient funds to support your partner without resort to public funds; if you have income that you are not declaring on your SA return I doubt that they will inform HMRC.
