2long
My wife and I are legally married in the UK and we live here in Thailand. It would be convenient for paperwork purposes (house purchase) if we were legally married in Thailand. I don't think it possible or worth it, but I've been wrong in the past. Boo
a legal marriage in UK is recognized in Thailand. nothing to do, nothing to register. if someone ask for your wedding certificate you can always get it translated & to really push the boat out, certified at the ministry of foreign affairs but really not necessary. Mario2008
As above, you can not legally marry in Thailand as you are already married. That marriage is recognized in Thailand. Is you wife Thai? In that case she can have the marriage certified by the British embassy, have it translated and certified by the Thai foreign ministry and after that have it entered into the Thai wedding register. This makes sure the Thai government knows she is married. If your wife is not Thai, nothing can be registered.
2long
Thanks guys. It's for the land people for a house purchase. I'm going to get something signed at the embassy tomorrow. 2,860B!
