Same Day In And Out Flight ?

Featured Replies

would it be possible for me to fly out of Bangkok in the morning to Kuala Lumpur to fly back the same day evening back into Bkk.

I know it would work with the flights and visa to KL no issue as I am European but would be flying back into Bkk the same day be an issue for getting another 30 day stamp?

please advise

It will be an issue in the sense that you will qualify for another 30-day visa exempt stamp, rather than 15 days if you do the visa run by road.

what does that mean??

so will I get the 30 day stamp or not if I return by plane the same day I left?

Yes you will get another 30 day stamp, its no different to doing a border run and getting a 15 day stamp, but if your going to the effort of flying out to KL why not stay over night and get a tourist visa, then you won't have to rinse and repeat in 30 days time if you decide to stay longer.

Yes you get 30 days allowance again.

Check the cheapest flight possibilitys, Singapore with Jet Airways or Tiger Airways, is also sometimes an inexpensive option.

Yes it i possible to fly out and return the same day. You will get that 30 day stamp in your passport on your return.

However, if you can afford it, and have the time it is also possible to make a two day tripout of it. Take an early morning flight out of BKK, on arriving go straight to the Thai consulate and turn in your passport for a single entry visa. You need to do this before noon. Then come back the next day in the afternoon to pick up your passport and tourist visa, then take a evening or night flight back to BKK.

It will mean an overnight in a hotel in KL...but the advantage is that the single entry tourist visa is good for 60 days with a possible 30 day extendion (cost 1900 baht) in Thailand.

If you plan to stay more than 30 days having that visa will save you the cost of another trip out of country to get another 30 day stamp. If you are absolutely SURE you will only stay the 30 days of the second entry stamp your plan will work.

Even for those who can't get a TV any more it might make sense to use the plane for a Visa Run.

If you book early, you can get a return to KL or Singapore or Penang for 4000 to 4500 Baht, some times even cheaper.

That is about the cost of two land Visa runs, and much more comfortable.
